Detection Unlimited (by Georgette Heyer)

I have loved reading - and re-reading - Georgette Heyer's historical romances. But have only recently discovered her light crime fiction.

'Detection Unlimited'- which I read aloud to my teenage sons - features an unpopular lawyer who is murdered, while several people are returning from a tennis party.

Scotland Yard is called in to investigate, since it seems impossible to discover who committed the crime. Inspector Hemmingway interviews all the suspects in his inimitable way.

Dry humour and good characterisation - an enjoyable light read.

Recommended.
