Changes for the Chalet School (by Elinor M Brent-Dyer)

'Changes for the Chalet School' is one of the many school stories by Elinor M Brent-Dyer, featuring the Chalet School. It started out in Austria, then moved due to World War II. In this book, the school is preparing to leave St Briavel's, where it has been situated for a while, to return to the Oberland at last.

There's not much plot in this volume. It's very much a formulaic school story book, although there's a bit of light relief when the girls visit the Cadbury chocolate factory in Birmingham. It was rather different fifty years ago.  They also have some trouble with animals at night.

Not particularly recommended, unless you're a fan of the series,. But it whiles away an hour or so without stretching the brain.

(I wrote a more comprehensive review of 'Changes for the Chalet School' after I re-read it yet again thirteen years later)
